There are also lots of cafes, pubs and restaurants in Salcombe
(you would need to drive there via Kingsbridge - there is no bridge!
- or park at East Portlemouth and organise a Harbour Taxi with
the Harbour Office), in Kingsbridge
itself and also at Dartmouth.
If you are looking for Bed and Breakfast nearby, please try Welle
House, West Prawle

The shop in East Prawle is good for the basics, and also has
newspapers, bread and quite a few extras, well worth a visit.
There is a bakery and grocery in Frogmore, a butchers in Chillington
and Torcross, a farm shop (with butchers) at Stokenham, and the
excellent Ashby's general store at Charleton garage (also with
an extensive shop selling outdoor clothing and sports equipment).
You can also buy fish from Britannia Shellfish on the beach at
Beesands. Please support the local shops as much as you possibly
can, if you need to do a more extensive shop Kingsbridge has a
fairly good range.
